What’s your name? You can’t say you don’t have one, unless you’re an artist formerly known as something else. My name is unfortunately not unique like many of yours may be. Why couldn’t I have been an Axl, or a Beau? How did you get your name? Do you know what it means? Are you looking for a new one? Fine, maybe not for yourself… maybe you’re looking to name a baby. Why not check out What a Lovely Name.

What a Lovely Name is a tool for helping you find interesting and meaningful names for your new baby. When you find some names you like you can easily mail them to friends. There are multiple ways to browse our database of thousands of names, and for each name you can generate a beautiful logo. You can customize and download the logo for free to use any way you like or even order online merchandise emblazoned with your baby’s logo.

So what are some of the cool things you can do with What a Lovely Name?

  • Our trusty Baby Logo Generator can generate 432 different logos for each baby name? What newborn doesn’t need 432 different logos to choose from to represent their personal brand?
  • You don’t have to use the Baby Logo Generator only for babies. You can even make a cool logo for yourself. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone.
  • Search by tradition, disposition or even celebrity names.
  • Not seeing a name you think should be included? Send it to them!

Apparently, Kat is unhappy because her name isn’t found on the site. Her legal actual name is Kathie… so she sent a submission to the site asking them to include it. See how easy it is? I’m sure she’ll be quite happy when she can go back to the site and generate a logo for herself.

Let us know what you find out about your name, and consider creating a logo for yourself. Why not upload that logo to your geeks profile to share with everyone else?

I was apparently named after the Neville Barnes forceps that were used to deliver me. I was “supposed to be” a girl and be called Bethany so when my mother found out I was a boy she named me after the first thing she saw.

Well when Datalore 2.0 gets released (that one never gets old!):

For a girl, we’ll name her “Lana Isabella” - Lana after Kristen Kreuk’s character in “Smallville”.

For a boy, “Lukas Dylan Jayce” - Dylan from Gene Roddenberry’s “Andromeda” and Jayce being from the cartoon “Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors”

:)

I found an interest nickname for Daniel – Danek.  Should I start using it? Visit what a lovely name and name your next little bundle of joy or puppy. [via TechFlash] . Related articlesHow Did Your Parents Find Your Baby Name?

When it came time to name our geeklings, we wanted to stick with Biblical names. Our daughter’s first name is from Old Testament Hebrew and New Testament Greek. Our son wound up with two names from the New Testament, he’s named after both his grandfathers.
