How Chris and Ponzi Fell in Love
“Match.com” is the one-word answer. Instead of stopping there, however, we decided to tell you about how and where love happened. Yes, it was pretty much love at first sight with Chris and Ponzi. Has the love lasted? You judge for yourself. Consider this a precursor to the forthcoming “Chris & Ponzi Time” podcast. To celebrate this lovely occasion, we’ll accompany the links for the conversation with these love quotes:
- Trouble is part of your life if you don’t share it, you don’t give the person who loves you a chance to love you enough. (Dinah Shore)
- Love doesn’t make the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. (Franklin P. Jones)
- Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart. And try to love the questions themselves. (Rainer Maria Rilke)
- In order to create there must be a dynamic force, and what force is more potent than love? (Igor Stravinsky)
- To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven. (Karen Sunde)
- Love fails, only when we fail to love. (J. Franklin)
- Love conquers all things except poverty and toothache. (Mae West)
- Love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real. (Iris Murdoch)
- Love is not just looking at each other, it’s looking in the same direction. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
- Love is like pi natural, irrational, and VERY important. (Lisa Hoffman)

Appologies
We lost consciousness during the Winer interview, so the show notes don’t exist.
Online Dating
Chris and Ponzi discussed online dating and where they met; Match.com.
Dave Winer
Chris and Ponzi interviewed Dave Winer. Answers.com defines a pioneer as “one who opens up new areas of thought, research, or development.” That’s Dave. You’ve likely read his ‘Scripting News‘ before – but even if you haven’t, your online experience has already been shaped by Dave. In the tech world, we deal with terms like SOAP, XML-RPC, RSS, OPML and podcasting almost every day (with or without knowing it). These terms would mean nothing without Dave’s efforts and energies. Winer was a contributing editor at Wired in the mid-90s and a fellow at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for the Internet & Society in recent years. He has hosted two BloggerCon user conferences at Harvard University, and one at Stanford University. He’s bringing a “BloggerCon” flavor to Gnomedex this year, becoming a funnel for discussion on stage.
