You already know I’m a gadget freak. You also know I like really cool and unusual things. Probably the most awesome things that I have bought recently all came from Etsy, from a user named ForkedUpArt. I thought the iPhone holder, I picked up some of the other pieces, as well!
The artist has created some really neat artwork using forks and spoons, including phone holders, business card holders, and salt-and-pepper shaker holders. You’ll even find a whimsical fork and spoon “Will You Marry Me?” set. I’m pretty sure I’ll be staying far away from THAT particular set for the next long while. However, if you’re into that sort of thing, they are pretty nifty.
I made a bold proclamation the other day when I bought this ForkedUp art. I was browsing around on Etsy, looking at everything they had for sale. I think that Etsy is going to give stores like Crate N Barrel and Pier 1 a run for their money. Each of these pieces are really unique, and the artists can only make so many of them. This makes them a collectors item… and those are worth more than anything you will normally find in a brick and mortar store.
People will always ask about art objects like these, and they’ll assume you paid a lot of money. You don’t necessarily have to correct them unless you really want to. Whenever someone exclaims over the art in my home, it makes me feel like I’m worth millions of dollars. We don’t need to let them know most of it comes from places such as Etsy. Right?
