Health is Sick
I definitely don’t agree with all of Michael Moore’s views, but he’s done the right thing in producing his new movie, “Sicko” – going directly after America’s unhealthy health care industry.
At the press screening for “Sicko,” the Wall Street Journal reported that hardened reporters and critics wept. Even those who have been harsh to me in the past, or who have not agreed with my politics, were moved. Aside from my stated desire that “Sicko” ignite a fire for free, universal health care (and a larger wish that we, as Americans, do a better job of treating each other with a true sense of solidarity and respect), I continue to hope that I can make a contribution to the art of cinema and give people a good reason to get out of the house for a few hours.
Health is something we all take for granted – until something goes wrong. Since did your wallet become a vital organ?

Anaemia, or Progressive Pernicious Anaemia, which almost invariably terminates in death; while in the first form, or simple anaemia, there is no reason whatever for a fatal result, if treated judiciously. Health is Sick

castor sugar for the onion and parsley Proceed as in recipe for Savoury Omelet, but substitute a dessertspoon castor sugar for the onion and parsley. When set, put warm jam in the middle. Arguably, food is far, far more important than health insurance – should we make that something the government hands out to us? Since many of us abuse food, perhaps we should regulate what can and cannot be eaten, too.
It’s for your own good, Chris.

as someone who is from Austria, I can only say that Moore’s depiction is at best one of half-truths, at worst one of his typical cut-and-past type edited for dramatization movies that bear little resemblence to reality.
American health care is the best there is, even with the hickups we have. This notion that somehow socializing healthcare will provide miraculous relief is downright fatalistic.

I live in the UK where health care is pretty much free for everyone this system is called the NHS or National Health Service
But it’s our country’s single largest expense after Government and it’s far from the Utopian vision that it was meant to be because there simply isn’t enough money in the UK to make it happen.
Bascially to have a decent healthcare system cost money and how you pay it is always going to be a question of debate.
I recently had a serious car accident and was very pleased with the healthcare I recieved the irony is that the hospital I was treat at is going to be shut down to save money so the nearest hospital with an ER is 35 minutes further.

Nothing is free. Universal Health Care means people will get less care because the pie has gotten smaller while there are more people expecting a piece.
America’s system could treat all its citizens, but we have an unfunded mandate…. illegal aliens and the unemployed. Also, those who decide to opt out of the system.
Michael Moore is dispecable. I would not trust him for facts. His track record is already tainted.
BTW, he should lose some weight. He shouldn’t unnecessarily use the health care system for a lifestyle choice of remaining fat and unhealthy.
