Hawaii Morning
I think I have found a new home away from home at the Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki. I traveled down to the Islands last week to attend the [re]Think Hawaii conference. This place is so amazingly comfortable, with every amenity a Geek could hope for! The bed was comfy, the view was gorgeous, and there were giant frogs in the lobby!
Thanks so much to my friends at Hawaii Vacations (and especially Bruce!!) for my travel!

Ahh. That is nice, but I live in Hawaii and I really don’t like it. If you’re planning to move here, keep your house in wherever you are now, ’cause you’re gonna want to move back within a year.

Waikiki? Honolulu? You might as well be in San Diego,
Miami , or Disney World.
Get thee to the Big Island (Kona Coast – south end, not the clone resorts north of the airport that are more like Phoenix, or better, Molokai (Gasp! Only three or four hotels!) to experience the real Hawai’i sans the traffic and crowds. You might even get invited to a real home-cooked meal.
