Have You Used an Internet Clipboard?

By now, I’m hoping that you have mastered using cut, copy and paste. Sometimes, it can be a bit tricky to paste something to another computer. What about when it comes to pasting some code, or a script? If you send it by email or IM, it can get all messed up. Thankfully, there are utilities called PasteBins that you can use just for this purpose. Simply paste in your code or script, and pass the link along to whoever may need it. Slexy is one such PasteBin, and it’s really nice.
You may even want to use this for yourself, and not just to paste code to others. You can give it an author name, choose the type of code language (including regular text), and even choose when to expire the page (if ever). If you can think of any type of text file that may need to be shared or edited in some way, you can paste it here. If you select HTML, for example, the site will automatically do syntax highlighting and line numbering for you. This is VERY nice when someone is going to look over your code for you. They’ll be able to easily tell you what line there may be an error on.
Also, this can be nice if you’re working on code or even a registry script for yourself. Let’s say you need syntax highlighting, but you don’t have a tool to do that. Simply paste your code into Slexy, and let it do it for you. You can make this bit private, so that only you can see it while you work on it.
Check out Slexy, you won’t be disappointed.
