i had commented a few months ago on this page, saying i was hesitant in switching to mac. I bought a macbook aluminum october 15th (when it became available in stores) and it is the best thing i ever did. i also bought an imac a few weeks ago. if you are hesitant of switching, if you can, DO IT!

I bought a dual g4 1 ghz quicksilver for 220 off ebay. It’s my main machine. I also bought an Athlon 2300 with a radeon 800 platinum edition card for gaming. and thats all I ever use the windows machine for.

I’ll hopefully be switching to Mac after I graduate the 8th grade a year from now. My PC is just giving me so many problems right now. I can’t download ANY programs because my Anti-Virus automatically blocks it and it’s just becoming too much to bear. Now it’s gotten to the point where I’m scared to shut down because I’m afraid it will never boot up again. The most annoying thing is there are no drivers for my Motorola RAZR so I cannot connect it, where as on a Mac I could automatically sync it via bluetooth.

I don’t think I’ll switch to mac outright but I am planning on purchasing one in the near future just to experiance one for myself.

Switched to a macbook pro in March after using pc’s in my professional career (network engineer) for over 20 years. I rarely ever use my home Vista machine anymore. I also use Vmware’s Fusion so I can use it on tasks that require an XP or Server interface. My kids love it too (4 and 7 years old and they notice the difference!)
I love it, and I’ll never go back.
It’s a new era… and old farts like me are even converting.

Made the switch a few months ago. First Mac that I have owned in my life. Got it not because it was an Apple computer. Got it because MACOSX is Unix under the covers with a clean User Interface. I do not worry about making my Mac work like a Windows machine. But I have to figure out how to get my integrated into my Windows/Linux network. Fileshares and print shares are Windows based and not necessarily Bonjour compatible like Linux is. Over time my network will become predominately a Mac/Linux based one.

I have been using a Mac for almost three years ago. I actually switched on a spur of the moment when I had my brother go to a computer store to get some CDR’s when he spotted a Mac Mini that was a customer return, and was on sale for $350.

I had some cash then, and when my brother called me at my job at the time, I told him to jump on it!

Almost three years later, I have acquired an iMac HD 24″ which has blown anything away that I have owned before it. I am also looking into getting a MacBook shortly also!

I’m planning on buying a new computer. I’m really thinking about buying mac.. I hear allot of good reviews from them and this is a pretty persuading video, since you have been dealing with computers for so along.. Ubuntu was fun to fool around with but I had compatibility problems. It was fun to learn a new os. Well we will see……

I just switched to Mac after being a Windows person for a couple years. Before that, I was a Mac person my entire life, so this wasn’t as unnatural of a switch as I expected. These are some interesting applications, and I found some of them useful in making this switch to Mac. I love the vids Chris. Keep it up!

I want to switch to a mac, but I usually share my computer with other people who wouldn’t adjust too well to a mac, and I can’t afford a good enough one right now anyways
