@eric: Some colleges ban Wikipedia as a source for papers and such, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it. Which is what you said, I know.

Most of the articles have very good external links which make good sources, and the chances of coming across vandalism are extremely low. I know because I revert every instance (not!) within a minute or two when I’m online. Only the ones I get, that is, but everyone else is patrolling…

This is a pretty good list; I might have to bookmark it for my next paper.

Google is your best internet friend, sure sometimes you can’t find exactly what you are searching for, but with a little modification to the keywords, you can find what you want sometimes. It’s usually not Google’s fault if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

About the Wikipedia usage: Just scroll down to the sources and use those. =)

1. I have gone ahead and made a website for this. I hope all the people in #chris learn to use it. http://itscalledgoogle.com

2. I am a frequent user of Yahoo! Answers most of the answers I give come directly from Google. However, their are some questions that are not found on Google (really?) and I tend to be able to answer them from my knowledge.

3. Yes the chat room can help you! However, during chris’s videos maybe ask somone if you can pm them for help.

4. Yes Wikipedia! I have an auto-replace in chat that automatically goes the the article on Wikipedia and that helps to answer many questions. I myself have created several articles, including Jaiku and the iPod touch, and I can tell you that the articles have been picked at by several editors to get the article absolutely accurate.

5. Yes the library can help! University libraries are especially helpful, with tech stuff especially, because there are more books here.

Wikipedia is pretty awful for official sourcing, I’d recommend Google Scholar above everything else. It is especially useful for Journal articles.
