Happy Sad Morning
Thanks for covering Quotes in one of your newsletters. You were more than
right about spinning statistics. Thanks a lot; your news item had more
effect to Quotes than download.com putting Quotes in the spotlight.
Email is an important medium – that's what I learn[ed] from this. The statistics are too high, my provider is bugging me.
Well, that's quite a nice way to start the day. There have been people up in arms over the chaos in the LGNGs lately; I was reluctant to check my Inbox this morning. Some people think the world owes THEM a favor. You know, like freeloading jackasses?
Instead of trying to flatter yourself and those around you by identifying problems, try implementing working solutions. Think 'team' instead of 'me', like “honor among thieves” in this case. BTW, I'd rather deal with the a-holes you mention than with those of your mighty rank-ness.
Don't bother replying to me with one of your cliche filled blasts – it's clearly not worth any more of my time.
James Landry thinks I'm a thief. How will I face tomorrow? What can I do to change my life to suit his needs? Peanut butter low carb waffles! I feel less ranky already. And Gretchen's whipping up quite a blog post this morning, too. Someone didn't like the fact that she did those pin-up pictures. Word to the wise? Don't cross Gretchen. You don't want to see her when she's angry.
UPDATE: James is not angry with me; I was BCCed on the message in question. I'm glad I didn't go emotionally overboard with my initial (e-mailed) response to him. We're cool now, hunnybunny. James is my new bestest friend:
I've got to tell you, as long as I have your attention, that I am so happy that TechTV has arisen in an otherwise dismal television horizon. I feel like a have a real connection with all of you. Not only because I am an I.T. person, but because you and all the TechTV talent seem “for real”. I like the way you guys don't go out of your way to try to dress or talk the part, or put off some big corporate air. I like that you all appear to have been chosen for your aptitude and competence, and not just for your thick hair or bust size.
Stop wasting your time trying to fix computer issues over the phone or the Internet. Use GoToAssist to connect to the other person's machine remotely. GoToAssist's computer-to-computer connection is the fastest way available to help you get things done when there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Wow where can I start. I too am a Gnomie -> AIH'er I love the Gnome. I am a Tech Support Professional with my own business. I depend on the Gnome. I look at all your newsletters and if I don't find any links that tickle my fancy I move on, but I normally find at least one link that sounds good, and if your little blurb sounds good 99.5% of the time it is an awesome site, that I throw in my favorites. I also go to a place called Activeworlds (don't mention it in Gnome, they are currently planning on raising the prices too high, if they don't I will remention it to you) but the Gnome keeps me entertained. I have had over 75 different newsletters come into my box on a regular basis and you are the only one left coming in. Some I have unsubscribed from and they wouldn't do it, so I have started to file charges because theirs sucked beyond recognition. I have never even considered cancelling the LockerGnome series (and I get 4 of them) You guys rule more then you can imagine. Don't get down on yourself. You guys RULE and don't let anyone tell you different. I know it is hard to concentrate when people are bugging you and I know it is hard to please everyone, but the way I look at it, there are millions of assholes in this world, maybe those that are bugging you are some of the many. Let it go and move on, you are much better than that.
