Handheld Hell

Why doesn't someone create a reverse eBay of sorts? I'm looking for a way to… “backup” my Game Boy cartridges via USB. I found a few scattered online retailers that carry the Gameboy Advance XG-Flash 256MB, but each one of the sites has lousier than lousy ratings. Even Craig's list didn't help me (and where's their RSS feed?!). Perhaps I should offer them some of my blog stock?

That Blog Stock is awesome!

I am at once both repused and drawn in by that Trekkie abode. Gah.

I think the lack of info on backing up Gameboy games is due to the fact that its actually illegal… and seriously, why would you need to? Nintendo cartridges are pretty tough.

if you really want it, go to http://www.gamegizmo.com. they have it for around $160
I am also getting one in the near future

It's not about whether the Nintendo cartridges can take a beating, I think it's about the ability to stick a bunch of “backed-up” games on one cartridge and take just one cartridge with you instead of bringing a crap load. Or sticking all of the roms of your GB(A) games on your laptop and have access to all of your games without having all of the cartridges around. I'm sure Chris is wary of Sprocket turning his GBA games into “Scooby Snaks”.

pirillo… http://www.success-hk.com is where i got my XG Flash 128, it got here all the way from hong kong in about 4 days, and they're very reliable, i know many people who have gotten their linkers/flash cards here
