Grounds for Dismissal
A report by the Business Record earlier today said that Timbuktuu Coffee Cafe would be closing its Grand Avenue location in West Des Moines. Charlie Bienert, the coffee shop's owner, had intended to open a location there, but pulled the plug on those plans before the store opened, he said. Bienert has a Timbuktuu kiosk in EMC Insurance Group Inc.'s building on the skywalk level that he intends to keep open, he said.
Bienert went on to say: “We just felt that Peet's was a far superior coffee. Hell, even I'd drink it. And that's saying something – because I don't like coffee all that much.”

You know Chris I'm so tired of you talking about Peet's all the time! To shut you up I'm going to order some of their Dark Roast from their web site for myself. And if you keep flapping about it I might even bring you some next year to Gnomedex!

I was supposed to meet someone there TODAY! We had to meet at the coffee shop on Ingersol by the dinner theatre instead. Hopefully, coffee shops, located by theaters, closing aren't catchy!

Sure to be replaced by another chain that roasted their beans 3 years ago…

An honest businessman…. what a rarity! I'm not really a coffee drinker… but a half-shot vanilla latte from Starbucks is pretty nice

I prefer a warm, comforting cup of Tweek's brand coffee. Country fresh… like the morning, after a rainstorm…
