Googlefasting: Day 6
Continued from Day 1, Day 1.5, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5…
- Yet another slow search day. I was in email response mode in front of my inbox, so I wasn't needing to do too much research.
- Needed to find information on who was talking about the Origami project – which I just wrote about in Lockergnome tonight, and you geeks won't like what I have to say about it. First looked at Ask.com, and it was nowhere to be found. Hit Yahoo! next, and got what I needed.
- Interestingly enough, was asked by two VCs today about Gada.be (each of them having prior knowledge of our service). Methinks they see the promise in what we're putting together, although I'm not sure I can trust any of 'em. Marc Andreessen gave me a list of 15 firms he trusted the other day… kinda nice of him. Oh, speaking of VCs (in an unrelated note), I compiled Brad Feld's term sheets tips into an eBook a couple of weeks ago.
- Finally saw Matt Cutts (from Google) again, after our first run-in at the Blogger party – when we chatted it up about Purple Cow. He's one awesome dude that you must get to know, virtually and in person. Don't know if we can get him up to Gnomedex this time.
- Realized that my emotional attachment to Google has been transferred to Yahoo!. They're too similar, and I think I've been spoiled by both (not a bad thing, mind you). I think I might float between IceRocket and Ask a little more frequently.
- People we want to interview tomorrow: Chris Redlitz from Feedster, Jensense, David McKinnis from PRWeb, Todd from StuntDouble, Lee Odden, Patrick Gavin from Text-Link-Ads, Matt Cutts, Jeremy Zawodny, Nick Wilson, Marshall Simmons (possibly)…
