Cool! I want to use something like that for a young adult group I attend. All it needs would be an even callendar, news(blog) updates, ability to send email to the community. A way for people outside of the community to contact the community would also be very helpful.

Google docs I use all of the time when I have no access to programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, or Powerpoint.

@Kyle_vdk Yes you can export it as a .doc file.

I don’t think this Google Docs Community stuff is true. This may be just another April Fool’s Joke. You never know. Nonetheless, Chris, great job with live streaming.

You scarred the crap out of me when you said you would stop streaming, but everything is OK now :)

Some features I absolutely love in a community are easy customization and an input area for HTML (like Myspace). If anyone here has a Blogger account, you know how easy it is to shift content in the “edit layout” section. It’s clicking and dragging in a visual space. If somebody built a community that allowed me to add content just as easily as Blogger, but is also easy to edit in the HTML (Blogger can be a nightmare sometimes), there would be no question. I would be in that.

Plus, a community that combines all aspects of being in a community (like forum discussion with your username linking back to a Myspace-like profile, for example. Or a chat room with the handles linking back to that same profile, all within the same community) would literally be teh awesomeness.

:o that is scary.. I have heard a lot about Google Docs.. heard good and bad things, but mainly heard that it was bad.. Can you like.. export it in a word document (.doc or .docx) stuff like that…? that would be cool if so.
