As above, I use X1. I look at the reviews of Copernic, which I have never installed, but it seems that the users on CNet that rate it, and this is where your link points, have never tried X1. The one mention of X1, in 24 reviews, is a person who stayed with X1 after trying Copernic.

I chose X1 after reading a review several months ago, somewhere on ZDNet. It rated X1 best, over all the others, including Copernic. That was good enough for me. I recommend it for customer's machines, as it will work comfortably on a slower [

No doubt...X1 beats them all! It is the most versital interface of all of them. Copernic would be my 2nd choice.

One of the problems with both of these products is the lack of searching Microsoft OneNote. Unfortunately, Windows Desktop search has to be installed to search OneNote; otherwise, I would uninstall the product.

I have tried them all.. My favorite in terms of elegance is Copernic, but in terms of ease of use and performance is X1... Yahoo and MS and Vista one are really horrible....

I was running Google Desktop for months, until my already slow as molasse laptop decided to have a little seizures anytime I had to open up software more complicated than Microsoft Word. Since I dropped it, there have probably been four times that I wish I still had it installed, and all of those times the amount of effort it took to search for the information was still less than the lag that Google Desktop was creating.
