Gnomedex Keynote: Adam Curry!
Adam Curry – The podcasting buzz gained traction with Gnomedex 4, with Adam listening to us as a distant observer. This year, we're bringing him directly to you – up close and personal! Oh, you might remember him as the world's first VJ for MTV – and the man who registered MTV.com before the network knew what hit it. Adam Curry is not just a celebrity – he's a true technologist who is continually shaping this industry. From Adam, we might learn:
- Why podcasting is smart for your brand

Adam Curry is NOT a real geek… He's more of an Internet Renaissance Man (artist, businessman, tinkerer, cognoscentti/critic). He should be a great keynote…
he's real and humble.

Well, I had decided to sit this year out (mainly because of the price) but hearing that Curry will be the keynote is definitely making me reconsider. :)

So what?
Actually, this is enough of a reason for me not to come to Gnomedex. I truly, deeply appreciate the weight Adam lent the podcasting movement, but a keynote speaker? No, I don't think so…. I don't think he's got that much interesting to say that he hasn't already said on the Source Code.
Hope you're not paying much….

Worlds first VJ… WTF? He was not part of the initial group of VJ's that launched MTV. Please give Martha, Nina, Alan, Mark, and JJ their due.
Btw, big fan of Adam and the SourceCode. But facts are facts.

He was the first VJ of The Headbanger's Ball on MTV… NOT “the” first VJ for MTV in general.
