Not only do we have HD but 3-D videos and programming is in the future and DLPs have the set-up for it. Many Samsung DLPs are already set up for 3-D programming.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on HDTVs and have come to the conclusion that DLP seems to be more toward what’s coming in the future. (My cheap side had a minor victory in that I did buy an Open Box item.)
I don't regret one single penny spent. I receive my signals from Time Warner Cable, which does a decent job (although the creeps want $7/month for ESPN-HD). I added TW's HD-DVR which made instant replay for NFL games even better. Let me tell you, there is nothing like watching the gory shots from CSI in big screen HDTV.
If I were in the market for a TV now, I think I'd have a hard time deciding which type of TV to buy. A year ago, though, anything except rear projection was just too darn expensive.

After many years of watching TV on the cheapest thing I found on sale, I bit the bullet and got a Panasonic 53″ rear projection HDTV. Pros:
The picture is very bright, very crisp, and the TV doesn't weigh a lot compared to its size. I could carry it under my arm if I could get my arm around it :)
Cons:
It's a little pricey, but it's worth every penny.

2. Get a HD DirectTivo
3. Pull all the content you can from OTA HD. We get all three networks for free OTA.

1. There is a clear winner. Front projection DLP or LCOS HTDV. Be sure you get a TRUE HD projector and a GOOD SCREEN<br
