(My cheap side had a minor victory in that I did buy an Open Box item.) I don't regret one single penny spent. I receive my signals from Time Warner Cable, which does a decent job (although the creeps want $7/month for ESPN-HD). I added TW's HD-DVR which made instant replay for NFL games even better. Let me tell you, there is nothing like watching the gory shots from CSI in big screen HDTV. If I were in the market for a TV now, I think I'd have a hard time deciding which type of TV to buy. A year ago, though, anything except rear projection was just too darn expensive.
