I ran into Drea during PAX recently, and she had a very exciting announcement. She and several friends have now launched a site aimed at all of you Geeky gals, called PopChix!

PopChix is a site run in conjunction with GamerchiX, which is a social group for women who play video games. Their gender – and love of games – brought them together. What keeps them together is their commitment to their Manifesta. The gist is… “NO DRAMA”. They respect themselves and all women. They don’t gossip or hate on each other, and they don’t judge each other’s choices and lives. It’s like a sorority without the elitism.

PopChix plays off of the idea behind GamerchiX, and builds from there. You will find writings on everything from fashion to music to comic books – and everything you can think of in between. They have a talented group of writers already contributing, writing about what they know and love, where their passions lie. However, they’re always looking for more! So if you’re a girl Geek full of passion for something, why not write about it for them?

One of Drea’s areas of expertise is in fashion. Believe it or not… I’m rockin’ my style according to her. Take that, Brad Pitt.
