I am excited to read this... we're getting closer. Hopefully Scoble can show you some of the following:
1. Read a digital magazine in Zinio and annotate and highlight interesting stuff. Read a two-page layout in landscape mose and a full page at a time in portrait.
2. Draw your favorite cartoon character (hint: see lower right corner of your blog) in ArtRage.
3. Sketch out your next great idea in MindManager.
4. Use ink to enter items in Outlook using Tablet Enhancements for Outlook from Einstein Technologies (including Journal entries and great MapPoint integration).
5. Read, annotate, and perform real-time research using an e-book reader like MS Reader or eReader Pro (Palm). Again, use the portrait orientation to really grok reading digitally.
6. Dictate your next blog post using the Tablet's voice recording/recognition.
It's more than just the ink as Loren and I have been telling you.

I've tinkered on and off with a Tablet PC the last two years -- even brought one to the last Gnomedex. The cold reality for me is that despite the "neat" functionality of the pen, drawing modes, and the pretty cool application that is Windows Journal, I still type radically faster than I write, my hands don't cramp, and I get far more functionality out of a normal keyboard. I'm simply more productive in general-use applications than I am in the pen environment. I gave it two months, it wasn't worth the investment. For a vertical market applications, such as menu-driven applications and inspection applications (readers/viewers), a Tablet is probably an excellent investment -- but for more interactive applications, I'm just not happy with the pen yet.
