The cold reality for me is that despite the "neat" functionality of the pen, drawing modes, and the pretty cool application that is Windows Journal, I still type radically faster than I write, my hands don't cramp, and I get far more functionality out of a normal keyboard. I'm simply more productive in general-use applications than I am in the pen environment. I gave it two months, it wasn't worth the investment. For a vertical market applications, such as menu-driven applications and inspection applications (readers/viewers), a Tablet is probably an excellent investment -- but for more interactive applications, I'm just not happy with the pen yet.
