Gaming on the iPad
Who says you can’t game on the iPad? I’m here to tell you you’re wrong, and Mark is proving it. The games that he demonstrates in this video all have “cousins” for the iPhone. The developers of each app have changed things up a bit for the iPad versions in order to take full advantage of the additional screen real-estate and processing power.
The first game he tried out is Real Racing HD. Keep in mind that when playing a game on the iPad, you may want to hold the device with the Home button to your right. This way, your fingers won’t accidentally cover up the speakers.
Watching Mark play this game, you can tell how awesome the graphics are on the iPad screen. Everything is crisp and clear, and it’s so easy to see what you’re doing. Even when playing N.O.V.A., the picture is as clean as a whistle. I was surprised myself by how beautiful the display is. I honestly didn’t expect it to be quite as good as it is.
It’s not as difficult to play games on a device like the iPad as you might think it is. Some people are used to using a mouse or game controller, and find themselves unable to easily switch to using only their fingers. You have to do what’s best for you… but I think you’ll be missing out if you don’t give gaming on the iPad a shot.
