Game Boy!

Link lives on with this afternoon's purchase of a Game Boy Advance SP. I couldn't resist. The last handheld gaming system I owned was Sega's Game Gear. Now I have a feeling the GB is going to 0wn me. It's so compact – and backwards compatible (for the most part). Got any old cartridges you wanna get rid of? I don't have much lying around here… a couple sets of computer speakers… Steve Oedekerk DVDs (Thumb Wars, Thumbtanic, The Blair Thumb)… et cetera. Now, I'm off to a few review sites to see what diversions should be populating my pockets. *Whoosh!*

You can have all our old Pokemon games..
I guess I'll have to go pick up Zelda. For my son, of course.

Congrats on the GBA SP purchase! The lack of a headphone jack can be fixed by buying a headphone adapter from http://store.nintendo.com/. As for games, the ones based on the Mario franchise are probably worth getting, like Super Mario World and Mario Kart Super Circuit. Other games like Game & Watch Gallery 4 and Konami Collector's Series: Arcade Advanced may also be worth looking into. Check sites like http://www.videogames.com/ and http://pocket.ign.com/ for news and reviews.

Ewwww… I want the silver one. It will match my new cell phone. I just love tiny technology.

I got the regular artic GBA not too long ago, and got Metroid Fusion along with it. I wanted to get back to that feeling I had when I played games on the SNES. It gets played more than my PS2 now. I used to have a lot of GB games, but I was forced to give my video game collection away a few years ago… *sniff*

Advance Wars is sweet, the sequal should be comming out soon.

Metroid Fusion, man. ^_^ It's, like, Super Metroid in “Really Super Hard Mode,” and for that, it rocks. Excellent time killer for that gap between my lab work and French class at college. (The only other GBA game I have is the first Breath of Fire.)

Wow, awesome purchase, I have the original gameboy advance and am looking to pick up the SP in Cobalt. You should definitly check out Advance Wars, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and any of the Fire Pro Wrestling titles

shiny, tiny, and under $100?

Oh, Link lives on alright! Got my reserve copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker waiting for me on the 26th. I'm more pumped than the tires on a monster truck.

For the most part? There are non-GBA compatible games?? Congrats on getting the system though and have fun. :)

Forgot to mention this in my last comment, but here's another recommendation for Metroid Fusion. Also, with the GBA SP priced at $99.99, the regular GBA has been reduced to $69.99.

heheheh.
I'm assuming that by “link lives on” you mean you got Link to the past/ Four swords? it's amazing and along with metroid should be considered MUST HAVES.
golden sun is also good if you're looking for some RPG'in

I grabbed one too. It is pretty sweet. A nice cartridge you can probably pick up used is the Phantasy Star pack, 1, 2 & 3. I've been playing that since I got mine.

I picked up the zelda one and pokemon ruby. Though now that I'm getting these games I start to see they all have these cool multiplayer features. I need more friends who have the GBA now!
Someone needs to make an adapter that lets you play online :)
