From Verizon to Cingular
Yep. It's true. We switched. We jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire. Couldn't take Verizon's BS anymore, so we're giving Cingular a shot at pissing us off. However, we managed to lock ourselves into only ONE year of service from Cingular, so they best be on their toes. Can't think of a single wireless service provider that hasn't pissed me off yet. From Verizon to Cingular – it wasn't too difficult to do, and an expensive proposition no matter what we decided. They all suck – and they can suck my phone if they think I'm going to be loyal to any one of 'em.

In my experience, they all suck. In different, spectacular ways. But so far Sprint sucks less than the others.

I guess it's different in Seattle than in California, but Verizon is miles ahead of Cingular here…better phones, better reception, better everything (though that's relative when we're talking about customer service). Good luck to you & Ponzi with your new carrier.

Verizon claimed I went over my minutes which I did not. My normal bill of 80 dollars turned out to be 240.. Furious I called them and explained to them it was wrong. #1 when I added up all the minutes it showed I was not over. #2 there was about 3-4 calls on my bill that never happened. #3 they had terrible customer service and were rude. I payed the 240 so mad. They ripped me off enough so I went back to Cingular, at least they listen half the time.

In Michigan, Cingular slotters any other carriers by far.. There is no competition and yes that goes all over the state.. I live not even one mile away from a tower that has the top 5 cell phone providers and yet the only cell phones that will work in my house are Cingulars, while Verizon’s phones can’t even manage to get a bar, my Cingular phone can manage to lose a bar. Pretty big difference..

Chris – did you have to pay a cancel fee, or were you able to get out free of charge?

Cingular must be a midwest thing. Here in the troubled waters of the backwoods of BFE (Indiana) Cingular pretty much blows the others out of the water.. They even took money off the bill when my step-son decided to talk for 7000 minutes. Anyway I am getting ready to try them for broadband connection even though I have heard a lot of good about Sprint. I can’t get a good sprint signal anywhere in this state.
