Gnome, My question is this:
Is it like “News for the hard of hearing” like they did on SNL back in the 70's…where they had garrett morris in a caption window screaming out the news stories?? man, id pay to see that kind of Un-PC, shock value on television :)

Cheri – you're absolutely right! I've been to a beauty salon that has the TV on… well, like you can hear it over the blow dryers and all the gossip. Its captions were turned on. Same goes for a gym. It's great to see the benefits of captions go beyond the hearing impaired.

CC is a godsend! While Im not hearing impaired, its nice because while Im talking with clients or doing other work, I can have the TV on mute, and the CC will be on, so Ill still know what the programs are saying. Very convenient option for us multi-tastkers!!:)
