- I gotta thank Derek Miller for doing the Gnomedex 6.0 song. It was campy fun! Of course, I really think his jam with Doug Kaye and Dave Dederer was more of a defining moment set to music: tech enthusiasts collaborating with popular culture. Amazing.
- While I know there were a few suggestions put forward for a Gnomedex MVP, Kaliya was applauded onto the stage – where she lead an impromptu session on identity. What’s most interesting is a conversation she and I had on Friday night, when I was trying to explain the energy you can only get when having a single-track event. She didn’t believe me until the end of Saturday’s activities. Thanks, Identity Woman, for participating.
- Huge thanks to both TopTenSources and Snapstream for providing television feeds to attendees who really wanted to watch the World Cup and/or (scrubbed) Shuttle launch. These supportive efforts were proposed and accepted on-the-spot. I love the power of community – and I also love the sponsors who support it.
- Geeky shout-outs to Kosso, for generating a better Gnomedexer OPML – and Dave for linking to it.
- I’m sure I’m forgetting others in this post about thanking the people I forgot to thank. Thank you for understanding that my “thank you” is always implied, if not stated directly. Thank you.
