Building new computers, or just fixing old ones is one way to help (you know you've got spare parts just lying around anyways). And there are so many community / charity websites that really do sorely need an overhaul. There are so many great options out there like WordPress, MovableType, etc. that there's no excuse to have a poorly designed website anymore. Things like SEO, tags, blogs, etc. will all help spread the word and grow these organizations. I like #3, and to expand on that, there’s really all sorts of things us geeks can do to help out others.
