Fishy Planets
Why the hell is Gretchen asking me how I put on the toilet paper roll? It's supposed to face out (so it spins better). Anyway, we went down into the Sunset tonight. It was a nice jaunt on the N Judah. Didn't take too long (didn't smell too bad). We went to some sushi place that was nice. Expensive, but nice. I had an 18 piece sashimi platter (though the slices weren't terribly large). We skipped dessert and walked down the street for a cup of coffee. We each wound up with some kind of mocha drink. Too sweet, way too sweet.
But that was far from the highlight of our evening. Unwittingly, we stumbled upon the San Francisco Sidewalk Astronomers. I kid you not – Gretchen and I got to see Saturn and Jupiter loud and clear tonight. Ganymede and Europa made an appearance, though Io had gone into hiding when we peered through the lens. Pretty neat! I've invited them to come on the show as guests, telling people how they could build their own telescope and get one of these organizations going in their community. All in all, it was a relatively good night.
Amaze your friends the next time they beg you to come over and fix their computer problems. Using GoToAssist, you can instantly and easily log into their computer, allowing you to quickly diagnose those pesky errors, or even help them understand how their new program works.

…it's a family thing!
My family had the paper feed down the back – my mother found that neater. My wife's family had it feed down the front – easier to get to.
Me – give me the unmounted roll, anyday !

I got to see Saturn & Jupiter last weekend, along with the moon Titan. It was pretty cool! The George Observatory outside of Houston gets a lot of amateurs with telescopes out there, although it's hard to think of them as amateurs, knowing what those scopes cost!

If you have cats, the toilet paper goes underneath. Much harder for them to pull off an entire roll that way.
