I had a big crash with it , but I was trying to stretch the client window across two desktops (before I found out you could maximize the browser. I also found a few other little bugs.

I'm new to browsing via RSS. Sharpreader Posts
Then the import should work perfectly."

Chris just sent me a quick message to clarify the RSS confusion I'm having... "When you have 200 sites to read every day..." :-) I think I'm beginning to see what makes RSS unique: The ability to plug in your favourite sites / forums etc and have the Reader just feed you the essential new stuff. That's kind of cool (It sure beats something like this: <a href="http://www.nojunkfood.org/notify.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.nojunkfood.org/notify.html</a> ) Let me get this right tough... any site wanting to take advantage of hosting RSS feeds has to go to the work, which will likely involve PHP on their part. Right? Is it difficult to set up? How much of an extra burden is it to maintain or can it even be automated? Another question I have is in RSS using a separate reader from web browsers. If RSS is to get popular, will it likely become embedded into browsers (apparently there is already a Mozilla add on), are server side Java clients more likely to evolve, or will people be happier using a separate reader for a long time yet?

Me again. I wonder if because I don't see much point in RSS that makes me a newbie to RSS? Not ONE person has so far told me anything RSS can do that couldn't or shouldn't be done through php direct to an ordinary browser in html output. Other than that, the only difference I've observed with RSS (from plain browsing) is in the way it uses an old style News Reader (like you get with many Outlook style email clients). I thought those were going old hat. If I've used newsgroup readers for years, would that qualify my as an RSS veterain? Is there more to RSS that I'm missing?

…RSS newbie huh? I wonder if because I don't see much point in RSS that makes me a newbie to RSS? Now I just have to get some enterprising Mac OS X programmer to build something similar. It's not THAT hard... or, better, suck out the Safari 1.0 API and build something so that I have an "RSS" tab within "super Safari" that is actually the 'newspaper' feed view of my RSS OPML list. And did I mention I want auto-sync of my OPML list on my server so my laptop isn't isolated? :-)

Coolness.
