Experimenting with Google Talk

From the beginning of The Chris Pirillo Show, we’ve tried hard to push the limits of technology at our disposal. We experimented with VoIP as a primary phone system and came up wanting. With the launch of Google Talk, we dared to revisit the idea of using VoIP solutions for taking live calls pitting Google Talk, Yahoo, Skype and Gizmo Project in a head-to-head challenge with the traditional POTS lines. This first hour of questions on the show is the first hour of the experiment.

Before launching into another two hours of Google Talk and Skype calls, Chris talks to a company pioneering in a different technology space. Inbox360, a company known for assisting business in email marketing campaigns is shifting their business model. Not content to combat the deliverability issues associated with email, Inbox360 is no setting its sights on marketing with RSS, encouraging customer retention through RSS feeds designed to deliver the ads you want from businesses you trust. Like any other RSS feed, subscription is controlled entirely by you, the customer, creating additional incentive for the company to keep their message on target and interesting so you don’t tune out.

GoToAssist lets you provide support to your friends or customers even when they aren't at home. By using the unattended support feature, you can fix their software issues, install their updates, or nearly anything else you would normally do on-site.
