Samsung had (repeat HAD) an excellent set on the market a couple of years back. It was an LED DLP that didn't use a bulb but an LED engine. The bulbs always cost several hundred dollars and tend to burn out in a year or so. It was also 3-D capable and reasonably priced. But that set was on the market for only 1-year. It was most likely taken off the market because of the introduction of their LED.

The thing is, 3-D is an intermediate as to what is coming up within the next 20 years or so. Glimpses have been seen in the laboratories and the electronics shows. What is coming remains to be seen.
