If you allow a few vocal fools threaten you and get you to change your advertising policies, you will forever be at the mercy of vocal fools. I'm sure Fox News lost a few idiots because they run ads from the Democratic candidates and I'm sure they didn't care. The vast majority of people will not cry and go home when forced to see something they don't completely agree with, if you try to cater to those fringe few, you'll end up pleasing nobody at all.

It seems that our country is moving towards an atmosphere of decreased tolerance for other views…and even freedom of speech. Ironically the speech that seems to be upsetting people is not even that of extremist fringe groups but simply speech that supports the presidential candidate of one of the two major political parties.
Even saying that you will probably vote for Kerry is enough to get people to jump down your throat and call you un-American or stupid.
I really worry about the future of democracy when voting for one party or another is treated as treason or blasphemy. I realize that it's not all conservatives that are doing this but a disrespectful minority.
The ghost of McCarthy haunts us again.
I also worry about the down-and-dirty tactics that both sides are using to further their cause. So Michael Moore stretches the truth a little when he tries to connect the Bush'es to the Bin Laden's and that is decried…as it probably should be. It seems though that the same standards for truth and decency do not apply to John Kerry. Until now a decorated war hero but now Karl Rove and the dirty tricks gang have to try to imply (or lie) about Mr. Kerry's war record. Where is the outrage? Is our society really going to sell our democracy and truth in exchange for some votes.

Oh and those of you that think Chris is obligated to talk about computers and ONLY computers on his personal webspace, you too are delusional. Does this make me not believe that he is whoring out his beliefs for a buck? Nope… but Chris has made it patently obvious that he will sacrifice all sorts of things to make a buck. It's an ad people… get over it. If you had any confidence at all in your canidate you wouldn't be concerned about a link to a political website.

I feel sorry for the fools who unsubscribed from the newsletters & deleted your site because of your perceived political views. They probably don't know that you stated in your newsletter a few years ago that you were a Republican, and even if they did know, they want to restrict your ability to exercise your First Amendment free speech rights. It's their loss; the whole point of the blog is that it's YOUR blog, and that you can and should say anything that you want to. Well it just goes to show that most people are easily offended by anything now days. I do not mind a person who is trying to make an honest buck to keep a site going but to throw something out there in an already hot political race and then expect people to take what you say .. sorry not for me. I came here to get computer information I go to other sites to checkup on the political and since this is a free land I will not be back. One for the arrogant view of Chris and for reading serveral of the posts here of hateful people. I remember this site from way back in the day. Sorry to see it leave my fav list

I just don't get it. People have become so bigoted that they won't tolerate freedom of expression any longer (“what I don't agree with must be removed”). Others seem to think their subscription to a free newsletter gives them voting rights on content. Then there are those who seem to think web hosting is still free and there isn't any need to advertise. I'm really confused by those who desire a return to “the way it was”. I guess they'd be happiest if you broadcast on AM radio. And finally, I so do respect (not) those who feel free to post their small minded, insulting attitude under the cloak of an anonymous listing.
Man, where did all this intolerance, bigotry and ignorance come from? And all this over a single ad sold to generate income. I'm totally bemused.
