Earthquake!
I think we just had an earthquake! I'm not sure, but Gretchen and I defintely both felt it. I've been working on rebuilding my system over the past couple of days. Man, that was weird. Now I have what feels like the “caffeine shakes.” I think it was just a minor tremor here. The news is on, but so far - no reports. I doubt it was THAT localized. Weird. Better than a tornado.

I'm not too sure which would be better, in all honesty. But then again, I live in an area where the worst natural disasters are forest fires and blizzards.

Woooooo! Welcome to California, Gnominator! Tell me if you get earthquake paranoia now. I *still* get it. If someone opens a door or something a few minutes after an earthquake, my first thought is always “Ooh, an aftershock?” My wife and I both look at each other for several minutes after an earthquake and ask “Uh, is that another one? Uh, did you feel something?” Groovy!

Yep! I sure felt it over here in Fremont.
I was sitting at my computer and at first I thought my chair was braking, but then I saw my monitor sweying and I realized it was an earthquake. It frightened me a bit, so I got up to go to a doorway and then is stopped.

Down here near Santa Cruz … it shook pretty strong. It wasn't the easiest to walk to my doorway either.

Hah! Chris..If I didn't know better, I'd have thought you were alluding to the silly war going on between the “spinoff” sites(addicts network) that is earth shaking news !!
Keeping a smile,

I experienced the San Fransisco quake of '89…I was out there visiting my uncle at the time. It was quite and experience.
But, here in Iowa, tornado season just started recently…I'm not too big on that, either, since years ago my house was trashed by one.

Well, welcome to California Mr Gnomie!! I sure do like earthquakes though. They are neat especially if you wake up in the middle of one. Your bed is moving, and car alarms going off all over the place, it almost feels like your in a water bed. Very cool!!! I must admit there is a great thing to living in California..the earthquakes!!
