In an earlier episode, I wondered aloud on the trustworthiness of Dynex Cat6 cables… Tim Swett wrote back:

“Dear Chris and Ponzi, I was listening to your podcast from 6/9/05 and you were talking about the new Cat 6 ethernet cable from 'Dynex.' I am one of those Geek Squad agents that work at Best Buy in Worcester, MA (Store 567). Dynex is one of the Private labels from Best Buy. Dynex, Insignia, VPR Matrix, and a few others that I can't think of, are the Private labels made for Best Buy. Because we have 'Best Buy China,' Corporate states that we can get direct manufacturing from many of the chinese manufacturers. I would think Dynex would be a good name. I have not seen many of the Dynex labeled items being returned so hopefully they are working with you and your show!”

So far, we haven't had any problems – but it's not like we do any heavy duty data transfers around here.
