Dumb or Not
We've officially started accepting subscriptions for our “Apple” newsletter. However, we have yet to come up with a template. All the good colors have been taken. Here's my thought: we lighten up the grey images in Tony's newsletter, and use different colored headers for each issue - that way, there's still some kind of color association with the content, we decrease load time (because of cached images), and the “title bars” and text could go seven ways from Sunday. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

thats a good idea. I love your newsletters and I will always read them as long as they are around. I can't wait for the Apple Newsletter - I don't have an apple but I love them and love finding new things to do on them when I get to use them.
One suggestion on the newsletters tho - can you make a text-based edition? They load quicker and I don't have to worry about viruses (not like you send any of them anyways). Remember just a suggest - don't take it personal.

How about the good ol' rainbow scheme that was in the original apple logo? :P

How 'bout taking design submissions from the peanut gallery? I know this might not gel with the design of other newsletters, but one could also work in some features already there. You up for that, Chris?

Well I'm not much of one for design, but I have a good suggestion for your first issue….discuss the ins and outs of powering up an iMac. I hear some people have trouble in this area.

How about basic functions of a mac for a regular windows user..:) I use my mac just when I feel I need to type something on the run (I got it as a gift and dont use it very often). I love the idea of doing a rainbow color scheme like the oringinal apple logo..very neat. Anyways, Im really looking forward to it..maybe it will help me to do something with my ibook than just “turn it on”..haha:)

You've run out of colours? How about red. Like an apple.

I think the rainbow original mac colors were a good idea for the AppleCore newsletter. As far as newsletter-wide schemes? Do what you want with the colors, just keep the content at a high level. :)

Where do I sign up? I don't see it on the page. But I'm looking forward to it when it comes.
