Driver's License
I've always enjoyed “racing car” video games (if I play any kind of sports game at all). Every one I tried seemed to be about the same until I ran into Ridge Racer. That's the first racecar game I was able to sink my fingernails into; it's not too easy, not too difficult, and relatively fun to play. Project Gotham Racing is a good one as well, but after having played Ridge Racer for so long, I'm finding the PGR controls a little out of control. Even the Xbox 360's PGR3 (beautiful though it is) is not half as intuitive as RR6. I suppose you have to give up a little bit of driving control to get closer to reality. Dunno if I want driving reality in a video game, though. If that was the case, someone would have released a true-to-life driving video game… with bad drivers, confusing street signs, stoplights, etc. It's all about skidding in the race - and my mind isn't shifting gears like I want it to. Still, I'm driving forward.

I just rented Ridge Racer for my PSP a few days ago! It is different and pretty fun and cool. Of all the “car racing” games I've played too this one is probably one of the most fun.
