Alex . . .

I know you haven't seen one but the JerkStopper is designed not to damage your ports should you drop kick your system across the room. The device was designed to stop the day-in and day-out tugging and (yes) jerking on the fragile power pin in most laptops.

We have a Jerkstoppers coming for both the Kensington lock and for cable locks as well as a JerkStopper product for Professional Photographers. Watch the site for news.

Only problem is now if you trip over the power cable the entire laptop gets jerked. It's a good way to crack your screen. I've seen it happen.

Chris!
Wow when I seen this thing I thought it is not very well thought Trough! Can you believe it?

Well, I will be nice... I have not seen that thing personally but, there is a better way to do this and it is to use the Kingston security lock hole, 99% of the laptops have them and 99% of the time it is open. As far as I know, most of the ports at least in my HP are on one board and if I mess up one of them I will have to replace more than if I would of damaged the power port. Lastly the security hole may look week (like my port looks plastic) but it is metal on the inside so it is far easier to brake a fragile port than that little overlooked security port.

Well, If you can write back to that person and suggest it to him (if he does not already has it) than it may be a nice addition to his collection.

Hope it was helpful.
