Dual-Disc means “not a cd”. The audio side of SOL wont play on 3 different drives of mine which means I cant rip it, So it’s back to the store for a return for me. Unfortunately SOL is defective by design.

Yeah, Weird Al is just one of the best damned artists in music today, period. His parodys are damned funny and his original stuff is even funnier!!

I might have to check out Weird Al’s newest, and I got his “White and Nerdy” video off YouTube via Keepvid (which you turned me on to, and now I’m a slut for it). Haven’t gotten a chance to watch it just yet, and I’m really anticipating a good LOL.

On “You’re Pitiful” I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t start singing early on accident. I thought it was a reference to the actual song by James Blunt where he says “My life is brilliant” then pauses for a few measures and says it again and continues with the rest of the song.

Al Was just making fun of his intro… at least that’s my take.

I first watched White and Nerdy on your site the other day. I see VH1 is playing it alot. I crack up every time I watch the damn thing. I have loved all of Weird Al;s videos for years and years, probably when he first started.

Two things Chris:

1 – The “You’re Pitiful” goof is an actual goof on the original song in which James Blunt actually starts singing early then stops! Al’s “ad lib” is actually a planned joke about Blunt’s screw up.

2 – Circuit City had the CD in store for $9.99 -quite a bargain, especially for a dual-disc.

The “flub” in You’re Pitiful is intentional. Listen to the original James Blunt tune and you’ll understand why.

I received the DualDisc today in the mail. w00t! Yes, it’s pitiful that “You’re Pitiful” is not on the album. I just have to ask you: Have you ever listened to Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”? The flub that Weird Al does is on purpose, it’s part of the song.
