It said that chihuahuas are actually not dogs but a species of rodent. My cousin got a pekepoo at the same time (1980), and both of them turned out to be fantasic dogs. Since then, we transitioned to full-blood mini-poos, one of which I "inherited". Pepper has lived with me and my wife for about eight years now, and he's pretty much the best dog in the world. My family has always had lots of poos, starting with a pekepoo.
