Does This Exist?
“Hi, my name is Stefan Grosberg, and I'm from Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean. Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma and would really appreciate your help. I've been looking around for a personal music player, so far I've been thinking of an MP3 or MiniDisc Player. I need a player that's light, small and would not skip, as I do a bit of cycling and running. I also need to be able to pack a lot of music into the player probably a couple of gigs worth. I'm also definitely not going to spend more than US$250 but ideally approximately US$150. I've been searching the Internet, but all I seem to find are $300 - $400 dollar players and the cheaper ones only hold about 34 or 64MB. I hear there are many bargains on the internet, but I can't seem to find a thing. Some of the MD players follow the above criteria although they are a little bit big, but just a little. I also read something about one of Sony's MD players that there is “ultimate skip-free G-Protection technology” which apparently reduces or prevents the player from skipping, which I just don't seem to believe entirely. What would also be nice to include is a backlit LCD screen, a universal adapter / charger, a rechargeable battery with long battery life and also that it is compatible with a tape deck stereo in a vehicle.”

harlow.
try SONY'S latest NET MD. longplay function (many songs on one MD…about 320min recording allowance), long batt life (110 hours continuous playback on AA batt + rechargeable batt), USB (quick transfer) + charger, lightweight (only 87gms), G-protection (so you can work out!), backlit LCD stick controller, full-editing features….etc…
it will be launched (in Spore at least) this week. SONY organised a pre-sales promotion.
check it out:

Try the Archos MP3 Studio Jukebox 6000. It holds 6 GB worth, it's light, and it also functions a as USB hard drive. If you hurry, Best Buy has one for $179 after rebate. Otherwise they're around $200. I love mine. Backlit LCD, rechargable built-in battery, etc, etc. Again, I love mine. :)
