Does the Quickcam Vision Pro work on SL 10.6.2?
I am about to install SL and realy want to know if my QVP-cam works -I hear very contradicting opinions/experiences about it.

The Quickcam Vision Pro does not work with Snow leopard yet. The audio still works, but the camera portion doesn’t even show that it is connected (photobooth, skype, etc.). It worked beautifully with the regular Leopard, but the moment I upgraded to Snow leopard, it died. I have 10.6.1 and am crossing my fingers that Apple sends out another patch to fix this little SNAFU, since the drivers are native to OS X and are not downloaded separately.

I use the Quickcam 9000 on my mac and it does GREAT. I see no need to pay for the same webcam for mac. The only issue I have is the color is very bright but it can be different in different backgrounds and environments.

I purchased the logitech quickcam vision pro for my mac, it works well but it doesn’t when i try to go live on ustream or stickam? any solutions?

I'd be interested in Chris's comparative take on this new QuickCam Vision Pro versus the HP Elite web cam that was video reviewed recently. These two Mac compatible UVC webcams are the only two USB cameras I'm aware of that support fully hardware-based autofocus and light management. I recently got the HP Elite and it's the best USB webcam I've owned yet. (And I've been webcamming since CUSeeMe on a dialup modem in 1993!)

I’ve been pretty happy with my iSIght, but it is not as good as what is built into my MacBook Pro – I really wish I had one of these for my Mac Pro. I thought you were offering one up Chris!
