Do you Practice Proper Mobile Phone Etiquette?

We’re all guilty at some point or another. We break one of the golden rules of phone etiquette. Come on… admit it. You do it too! Here are Gordon’s top five ways to become an annoying mobile phone user. DON’T do these!

  • When talking to a friend face to face and the phone rings, abruptly stop talking and answer the phone, and talk as long as you like. It doesn’t matter if it ’s your mother, your boss or a salesman trying to sell something. Your friend will understand.
  • Leave your ringer turned up while at movies, church, or funerals. When the inevitable phone call comes in and everyone has to listen to the latest rap or country song try not to be noticed as you fumble to turn it off. Everyone will understand.
  • Talk on your phone while driving, weave in and out of traffic lanes, stop abruptly, tailgate and force other cars out of their lanes, while glaring at the other drivers with a “Can’t you see I’m on the phone?” expression. The other drivers will understand.
  • Send text messages and treat them as if they were some kind of top secret military information that if anyone saw them the security of our nation would be compromised. When receiving a humorus text, laugh loudly and don’t tell anyone what is so funny. They’ll understand.
  • Brag to your friend how much better your new phone is than everybody elses, and try not to look too disappointed when a month later your friend gets one that is cheaper and has more features. You’ll understand.

Along these same lines are in the top five list for seeing a play/concert.

If you have your phone set to ring during a play, prepare to be hated by the cast. Nothing is as annoying as trying to perform and have a cell phone rings.

Also, don’t text message at these. You may be all about sayin “OMG! This rocks! IMSO l337!!!: However, you will be very hated by the people who are attmepting to watch the platy/concert while you are tapping away on those keys. Now I know of two theatres that ask you to refrain from txting during the show.

Oh yes, and if you are at a play and forget to turn your phone off, then for the love of god answer quickly and end the call and then turn off the phone. If you decide to converse with the person, you may be escorted out by the ushers, or the patrons there to see the show. If that happens, you may not be too happy… If you are unlucky, tat may follow by a trip tot eh back alley to meet a bit o’ pain.

Seriously tho, the best thing to remember when usng mobile phones is use common sense. However, most people have lost the ability to use common sense anymore sadly.

lol…im grounded from my phone…. :^(

hahah nice one xD
doing vid with phone

yet u are still granted access to the computer?wow

lol, he must of called himself LOL

yet they shall not know…. yet o.o

I want that Wallpaper!!!

I was talking to him on the phone!

Another tip, don’t call someone and then continue to have a conversation with the people you are actually with… This is extremely aggravating and rude. Just politely tell the person on the phone that you will call them back in a few minutes… Problem solved.

Is driving whilst on the phone legal there then, In the Uk people get angry if they see you on the phone driving, cops mostly hand out fines for it. the bastards……..
