I HATE THIS STUPID NEW FACEBOOK AND I HAVE 110 FRIENDS AND YES I KNOW THEM ALL! We are all having posting problems, freezing up on apps problems, gifts dissapearing on us…IT TOTALLY SUCKS BIG TIME…WE ARE ALL GOING TO BAN THEM FOR A WEEK TO GE THEM TO CHANGE BACK….We dont have issues with changes in fact most of have had sooo many changes on fb its getting on our last F@@@@@@ nerves!!! Its tooo slow and all the problems the last few weeks are to much to deal with!!

I like the new design a lot, it’s much more intuitive.

One big flaw w/ the new design.

Too many of the elements of it, are done w/ horizontal strips across the whole page. With the old design, at least the menu was mostly off to the left in a box.

Why is a horizontal stripe bad? Try viewing Facebook on a laptop with a landscape oriented screen. Then better, try using something like Warbook within Facebook.

Because of the stripes taking up space at the top and bottom, the room in the middle is far too short for ease of use.

And of course the world is moving to widescreen laptops being far and away the “Standard”.

I have to agree with Andreas, I love the new Facebook but all of my friends say they hate it. It is a much cleaner interface, and I don’t feel like I have to digg through mountains of crap to be in contact with friends [a big reason why I left myspace].

I definitely prefer the new Facebook, for a lot of the same reasons mentioned above. Less viral crap clutter, and more real communication via all the comment areas throughout the news feed, including commenting on statuses, I really don’t understand all the anti-new Facebook whining. My group “The New Facebook” has just one member. :P

You’re not alone Chris, I like the new facebook too. Most of my friends dont like it, and yeah I think they are just lazy.

The new design actually made me start using facebook again (in a twitter kind of fasion)

The new one is better to my eye, everything is placed in a great manner. Only drawback is my SplashCast application, not able of being on the main profile page. That is so killing me since it was my second way of transmit my art to the earth. But for the rest, the ‘RSS updates’-style of post has gotten the greatest points from me. Old one, is the old one. ;p

Chris, I prefer the new one. I’m still trying to figure out the best use of the tool, however. Like you, I don’t add many apps. My greatest concern is something you mentioned today on the WIRe/ICES gig: so many sites. I’m not sure where the limit is.
