I love to decorate my walls! I like to hang really cool posters, I would love a Silverchair’s poster, but here in Argentina is really hard to get one, so this web site that you mention is really really cool for that. Thanks!

When you said pixel poster i can’t help remember about a practical work that i did at university last year with a friend (we study graphic design). It’s a poster about a song, I actually have the printed one on my living room! You can see it here:

I have one poster on my wall. I tend to frame my posters as well, to keep the good condition of the poster at hand. I bought another poster a while back, but I have not hung it up yet.

This is a sweet site! I now have a huge Phoenix Wright poster(Don’t ask) on my wall! The only thing I dislike is that it takes a lot of paper and ink.

More than 10 years ago I had at my disposal a Xerox Copier/Printer with the Fiery (pc) attached. The Fiery gave you the option of creating posters on 24 8.5×11 sheets. his awesome printer/PC combo cost @ $85,000 at the time, It was a big improvement over the 2 Textronic Phaser IV Sublimation printers I previously used.

I’m guessing Xerox makes something similar for a lot less money today.

Great tip Chris! I covered this topic in my book, 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques, but I didn’t know that there was a free option. Here are two pieces of software that do the same thing, and both have free trials (the advantage, of course, is that you don’t have to upload the large file):

Windows: Digital Camera Poster Creator
Mac: DoubleTake

I know that this is obvious, but many online photo services (and walk-in photo labs) make large prints (in one piece) from images that you upload, for very reasonable costs. I recommend either a continuous tone digital C-print, or an inkjet print using pigment inks (if longevity is important).
