Date Nights with your Spouse
This week, it was my turn to choose where Ponzi and I would go for our “date night.” Sounds a bit silly, but it’s the only thing we can do to kick ourselves out of the house – if only for a few hours at a time.
It’s a great new tradition.
My choice for last night’s date was the Build-a-Bear Workshop in Bellevue Square Mall. We’re not pregnant, but when we do finally welcome a child into our home – no matter the gender – we’ll be two stuffed animals ahead.
She assembled what is now “Angel Baby Bear” (on the left) and I assembled “Qwerty” (on the right):

Yes, I made a nerdy teddy bear – you gotta problem with that? The funniest thing about Qwerty is his astronomy t-shirt: Pluto isn’t there. My friends Phil and Fraser will get a kick out of that. :)
Some of you watch my Flickr feed with any amount of regularity (sorry about all those cross-posted photos from Blip.TV, but it’s another way to easily discover what we’re recording on a daily basis). The other day, I uploaded a couple of photos from last week’s date night adventure – when Ponzi decided to take us to University Village in Seattle to paint ceramics together. While her penguins still await their glazing, my mug is complete and has already seen a fair amount of Peet’s this week:

So, are we the only married couple who does a “date night” every week?
