People need to realise that a website is not a TV channel (unless it IS a TV channel!) and we don't need everything to be animated to get a point across. Flash has become a complete annoyance on the web. It's the modern day animated gif. Also, with Chris being a Mac user I am surprised he doesn't hate it yet. Adobe hasn't done a great job of optimizing flash on the Mac. It's bad enough on Windows when you open a page that has 20+ flash ads, let alone on a Mac. I use flashblock in Firefox and can't live without it. Even on my new vista computer, enough flash ads can take up 20% or more of your processor cycles.. no thanks, now with flashblock I specifically allow only the flash I need to see.
