I did a format on the ol' hardeningdrive not long ago. The three problems mentioned above were due to SP2 installation (thats my belief). After the whole format excitement wore off, I did the re-installment plan and re-applied my SP2 back into the scheme of things. Cookies - gooood! Windows Explorer right-click error and non-deleting History - not gooood! Did my research and found out that one of my Adobe handlers caused the right-click errors in Windows Explorer. I used ShellExView v1.10 - www.nirsoft.net to fix that problem - works goood! Deleting the History from Internet Explorer, still a problem. I noticed that I have to delete (by hand) some of the history, until it will not delete no more, and then go up and do the Tools>>Internet Options>>Clear History. After that, it's fine, ... until my next History encounter.

The only time IE comes on for me is during Windows update. ;o)

Ya, I would have to agree with the other post. It's time to look at Opera or Firefox IMO. Both offer so much in the long run, too.<br

I'd do it, I had that problem about a month or two ago, I just thought to myself "you know, I need to format anyway" so I did that instead of possibly wasting more time trying to figure out a solution. I say YAY for extarnal firewire drives to backup into.
