GoToMeeting is a new sponsor of ours. Several of us got together, networked in, and had a great time!
GoToMeeting.com is not only our newest sponsor, it’s also an excellent meeting application. There is a free trial available. There are three steps to being able to use GoToMeeting:
- Create an Account Register online by creating a username and password for your account. Once registered, you’ll be able to host an unlimited number of online meetings with anyone. Your meeting attendees don’t have to be GoToMeeting registered users and can attend your meetings for free. Refer to the My Account page to obtain online billing history, view plan information and modify account information.
- Set Up GoToMeeting on Your PCThe automatic setup takes seconds, and no configuration is required. GoToMeeting will download to your PC and enable you to host and join online meetings with a few clicks. Begin by hosting a meeting through the GoToMeeting Web site, via Microsoft Outlook and through instant messenger applications.
- Organize a Meeting Even novices can begin organizing on-the-fly or scheduled meetings with absolutely no training. You can start a meeting immediately or schedule it for later. Begin presenting and sharing applications or documents with your business contacts across the country or with your colleagues down the hall.

You didn’t say what it costs??
Is it per use?
How long the session runs?
How many users are in the current session?
Or a fixed monthly fee?

Dude I think you can view peoples for free. It says here “You don’t need to purchase GoToMeeting or sign up for a trial to join a meeting. Please wait a few seconds while GoToMeeting downloads automatically. Then click “Yes” or “Always” to accept the security credentials and follow the prompts for further instructions.”

It is mIRC, with a different color scheme. You can change the color by clicking the crayon looking icon on the top row.

it also downloads “minutes” of the meeting onto you computer automatically. So if you are actually using the software for work, it allows the people involved to quickly get the chat log and remember what was said in chat.

Hi Chris:
I searched blogs at wall street journal and Bruce Judson (below), a senior faculty fellow at Yale School of Management and former Time Warner exec, has created http://www.searchfreeapps.com. The site is aimed at entrepreneurs and other looking to save a few bucks.
I found the Vyew: Vyew is a FREE online meeting service that brings people and content together. Use Vyew to host LIVE conferences or collaborate over time, anytime: and
it compares well with GoToMeeting. http://vyew.com/content/
http://www.searchfreeapps.net is really cool.
I’ll be using it to find free quality apps. Hope this helps you find more goodies.
Thanks.

First, it costs Monthly Plan $49.00/month. Yes, a month and for a year $468.00/year. And yet, they say on their website…
“ever see another overage charge or “extra fee” again.”
I suggest they say the way it is and not what it’s not e.g.
You can’t have a Free Trail UNTIL you put your credit card details. Not really sensible to do that.

Well, they took the credit card off for trail which is great. I started using it but now, I got a problem. I scheduled dates to test with other people and now, it’s on 19th of march. I registered on 4th or 5th of march. And they’re saying, “my trail will run out in 48 hours.”
Hopefully they’ll let me run the full 30 day trail but it is a great software. When trail runs out, I’m subscribing for a year, if they give me the THE FULL 30 days trail. Their email got me by surprise. What gives?
