Comic Viewer or Reader?

If you can look past our quirky sense of humor, bLaugh isn’t that difficult to understand. We’ve been trying to pump out a single comic every day for you to embed just about anywhere you darn well please. Our initial model was predicated on sponsorship, and that worked out exceedingly well – and we’re currently searching for a new sponsor who might be interested in tens of thousands of daily, distributed comic views.

Brad and I were on the phone last week talking about where we might take the site, and that includes opening the door to other great indie comic artists who are looking to get exposed to a much larger audience. What say you? As a comic reader – or as a comic artist – would that interest you?

Do What You Love

I’m applying a steep discount to the first person / company who signs on as the next comic sponsor. Inquire within. ;)

Amaze your friends the next time they beg you to come over and fix their computer problems. Using GoToAssist, you can instantly and easily log into their computer, allowing you to quickly diagnose those pesky errors, or even help them understand how their new program works.

Nice to know it’s back after 3 months.

Is there a reason why comments are getting posted? This one supposedly has 4 comments. I don’t see any, and I doubt that I’ll see this one once I hit submit.

Weird. It worked this time.

I wish bLaugh would dare more to handle difficult topics of blogopshere and not just be a mechanism to suck up to certain people. And why not to handle also topics from business and politics?

Anyway good luck in finding the sponsor!

Hey, it would be great to have different artists contribute. Variety is good.

“Quirky sense of humor”?

It’s news to me that bLaugh evidences a sense of humor at all.

Granting that “comedy” is a highly subjective thing… I just don’t find it funny. Never have, and I suspect I never will.

But hey, if it’s floatin’ yer boat, keep at it. Unlike Micro$oft, you don’t need *EVERYONES* patronate. :-)

I agree, Len. I’ve never found it funny and I’m surprised that it was able to obtain some sort of sponsorship. I find it mildly irritating also that it claims to be some kind of unofficial comic of the blogosphere — nobody should claim that for one, and if they did, they should be funny as hell. Like XKCD: http://xkcd.com/292/

Now THAT strip is lolzfunny.

blaugh.. never.

bLaugh was funny on occasion. Chrissy’s right though, xkcd is hilarious! Don’t let bLaugh go to the dogs though, fine-tune it and pick up some other topics.

Thanks for the XKCD link. I have saved a few blaugh as funny or to share with others. To expect to make big bucks on this is as presumptuous as claming to be “unofficial comic of the blogosphere.” As a first effort it has not been bad. Don’t quit the day job. Humor is a tough [even dangerous] row to hoe, so to speak…

XKCD is not reliably funny [funny ha ha] either. It takes a jungle of comics to make one laugh nowadays–thanks for each animal.
