Cell Phone Plans on Amazon
Just got word that Amazon is starting to sell cell phone plans through their long-standing Associates program. This means YOU can make money by referring people to any provider that sells through Amazon:

Beginning May 1, 2007, when you refer a cell phone with a service plan, you will earn an extra $15 bonus on each referral! Why market Amazon Cell Phones and Service? Get started today! We’ve updated our Cell Phone banners with graphics of the newest phones in the market. You can also build direct product links by linking to your favorite cell phones and then recommending your visitors also sign up for service with one of the service providers.
You can use your Earnings Report on Associates Central to determine the bonus you will receive. In the Cell Phones and Service section of the Earnings Report the bonus-eligible products are listed as “Service Plan + Phone” (e.g., Cingular Nation 900 Rollover Minutes + Sony Ericsson W810i Phone). This bonus will be applied at the end of each month, at which time you can view how much you’ve earned by going to Associates Central. We will be automating this reporting as soon as possible. Please note that the only referrals that are eligible for the bonus are cell phones sold with service plans in the same order. All other wireless products, including accessories, still earn referral fees up to 8.5%.
No word on whether or not this will make cell phone plans suck less.

I am about to scream regarding my cell phone provider Alltel. Have been fighting with them for 2 month regarding my new plan. My husband dropped his because he couldn’t stand them. They had bought out a small company here in town.
My plan has free calls in MY circle. still can’t get into it after 20 calls in 2 months. Letters written, nothing. So I reported them to the better business bureau and Illinois Attorney General office.
I wished I would have went with verizon or ATT….

Can someone give me an idea whether or not I should go for a smart phone or just use a more stylish phone and wait for some better technology? I am on the Sprint network, and was referred to http://www.sanyowireless.com , but I’m not seeing any options that look like smart phones. I don’t need an MP3 player or a camera, I’d rather have a phone that is lighter and easier to carry. Any recommendations would be welcome.
