Casino Tips

Ponzi and I spent the weekend in Las Vegas for our anniversary. These tips to enhance your gambling experience came in mighty handy when we went! Thanks to a community member for sending these in.
- Don’t go to the casino hungry. First play… and then eat. You may get a comped buffet which leaves more money in your pocket. That brings me to my second tip.
- Get the rewards card. It will keep track of all your slot and video play and you’re likely to get something free just for signing up for the free rewards card.
- Take regular breaks. Gambling is fun but it is totally possible to sit down and lose all your money on one machine very quickly. Every so often, get up and walk around the casino, touch base with your friends, and just enjoy looking at all the entertaining stuff they have in casinos. This will help prolong your gaming experience as well as make it a more social one.
- If you’re trying to get free comps and are playing table games, bet bigger when the “pit boss” is around. He keeps tracks of who is betting what, and decides who should get what comps. So, when you see the pit boss, bet a little more than you usually do… even if you don’t feel particularly lucky.
- And my most important tip is: ONLY BRING MONEY YOU’RE PERFECTLY WILLING TO LOSE.. There’s a good chance that you might not win, but you have to keep in mind that when you go to a casino you’re also paying for the entertainment. Don’t bring any credit cards or debit cards with you, and make sure you have a buddy that can gently yet firmly remind you of your budget if you get a little careless.

id say play card games with dealers, you prolly would have better luck rather than with the one handed bandit (slot machines)

Because YouTube is now lame, if you can, move the chat box to the left side, because YouTube’s huge logo is blocking people’s text.
And what’s with the “ads”. Come on, you have enough ads on the website. Are you that desperate to add them into videos, too?

I also want to congratulate Chris Pirrillo for joining Oprah Winfrey and Jackie Mason as well as Robert Reich in making the journey from National celebrity to YT. It was at once thought that YT would be a great place for individuals to get a jump out of the gate and cross the chasm into broadcast television. Now we are finding the opposite is equally or more likely.

Not insulting you or anything but how do you make money just playing computer all day, Chris. I was really curious and your “job” seems very relaxing and wealthy. Maybe someday I’ll be like you, who knows
