		<description>Ok Mr. Austin you either work for Napster or are a fkn ahole.  Companies like Napster are just taking advantage of the consumer.  To make it simple please follow me here.  You can sign up for the service without ever talking to anybody.  But to cancel the service you HAVE TO call somebody.  This should be illegal plain and simple.  If you, as a company, accept electronic generation of customer accounts then you should be required to accept cancellation of customer accounts.  Requiring a phone call is simply a way of forcing another step to hopefully make them more money.  Napster isn&#039;t the only company doing this.  I had a run in with Wamu after Chase bought them.  Their service went to sh!t.  So I went online to cancel since this is where I made the account.  No luck.  I called to cancel no luck.  I was told that I have to write a letter, state my entent to cancel, sign it, mail it, and that faxing wasn&#039;t good enough, it had to be mailed.  Companies like Napster and Wamu are simply practicing consumer abuse.</description>

Napster is so easy to cancel, I don&#039;t know why anybody would have a problem with canceling. First you can cancel online through your account, and you still get to the end of your trial membership to use it. 
Canceling through phone is so easy it took me like 30 seconds before someone picked up. The person was easy to talk to and cancelled quickly. Yes its true they do ask you why you want to cancel, but so what? you can say anything if you want to avoid the real answer. In fact i asked her a question and she even forgot to ask me the reason.
I asked her if most people cancel online and she said yes, she said she gets very few calls for cancellations and service questions.

What I do agree with is, that napsters service is not worth the price. $15 for streaming music when you can use youtube is just funny. And sure you can download music but there not even mp3&#039;s and you have to buy a special device (unless using your computer) for it that nobody really buys now a days (compared to an ipod). Plus the music is gone when you cancel. 
Price wise and service wise napster tanks. But cancellation wise its one of the easiest cancellations youll go through. 
P.S. I guess this is just one opinion of a guy.</description>

im from singapore and I recently downloaded the napster software onto my desktop and i subscribed to the free trail, but now I dont want it. is there any way i can unsubscribe? 

because they said that to unsubscribe i have to log on to napster and click &#039;my account&#039; and so on, but i couldnt find the login buutton anywhere and they say napster is not available in singapore..?

They&#039;re tech support and customer service is based out of California and everyone know there is soooo knowledgeable! They have always fixed the few problems i had with my drm and windows media player. And the few times over the years ive had to cancel; its always been done with a save attempt and a speedy cancel. I really dont see how people can think the service is fraudulent in anyway. If someones subscribes to a service for a trial and doesn&#039;t cancel the trial, how is a computer on the other side of the country supposed to know you dont want it?</description>

		<description>i recently subscribed to napsters free trial, at first i was led to believe that i can download songs ulimited for 12.95, then i relized that, it only allowed me to listen i would need the 14.95 plan, well i upgraded and now i cant even log in! no matter where i go to click member sign in it has been stuck on sycing your music for 15 min, i have not synced any music fr napster, 2 yrs ago napster was cool, now they are soooo fradulent. i am a little angry at them, thanks so much for posting their no.&#039;s because the cancel link doesnt work when i first signed up and was in , now that i cant get in at all, i will have no choice but to cancel, btw, right now, the only no. on that list that is working of the moment is the 310 no. thanks i guess i will have to wait until the bankers hours and calll fr work , *sigh*</description>

I was only one hold for about a minute or two, and talked to the Rep who went by the name Troy ( very nice fellow)  Of course he said is there anything that would change my mind. I explain to him that I was being charged twice per month and that, that was not making me a very happy camper.  I also told him I have a Ipod and I use Itunes now and I have no need for Napster any more.  He kindly took care of everything, and wish me well.  It took all of 5 minutes and was very painless.  I hope everyone else can have a pain free experience to.
