Need to install software to view the faxes and long distance numbers are free. I believe it costs to receive the faxes in pdf format, get a local number, as well as sending a fax. Email can do pretty much anything a fax can, and if you have a scanner it really does anything a fax does. Also, fax uses paper and ink, which uses a lot of natural resources, which destroy the planet. Someday the printed fax goes to the trash, double-polluting the planet. Yeah, email is less harmful.
